Thousands of wholesale VoIP companies, social community portal providers, virtual office providers, government entities, CLECs, incumbents , and all types of companies are buying and selling phone numbers on the platform called DIDXchange at didx.net. Why don’t iIgive you a couple of tips here?

First, sign up on http://www.didx.net and just be in research mode to start. You may want to come on board to sell phone numbers to other DIDX members on a wholesale level.

Go through Interop testing. Complete the agreement with us. Decide if you want to use our API or if you want to add the numbers you want to make available for selling on DIDX. Or … you can add them manually, one number at a time or numbers in the series. Youu can upload in a bulk through the API, in XLS spreadsheet and insert format as single numbers or multiple numbers in a series
When a buyer logs in, this is what they see … the numbers are currently added in the last few minutes in addition to what is already available. They click here and browse the countries in the databse to search for the phone numbers that they need. They can do it through the advanced search or by certain phone numbers or this way … even vanity number search!

So the next, the buyer sees the list of area codes that are available.

For Houston area 832 code, the buyers will see three different vendors. There’s a vendor rating for each from 3, 4 and the to 5. There is a setup fee, monthly fee and in some cases, the buyer can buy per minute or per channel or have a choice. In other cases, it will be flat rate per month with a certain number, including minutes or maybe 1 or 2 channels.

I hope this helps to explain who to sell on DIDX and the relationship between the Buyer, DIDX, and the Seller of wholesale phone numbers. The prices that you see include the small amount that didx adds for our cost. Buyer buys and pays total amount. DIDX keeps the small portion. DIDX pays the seller each time seller invoices in increments at least $100 total for amount due 45 days before. There is a PAY ME button on the Seller dashboard that sellers see when they first log in to their DIDX account.

We wish for you, a happy and great experience selling on a wholesale level on http://wwwdidx.net.

Ingate Systems, Inc. is bringing together the brightest minds and experience to ITEXPO West Oct. 4-6, 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention Center for the Unified Communications and SIP Trunk Summit. SIP is session initiation protocol, the protocol behind the excitement of UC, which is the new component of the Ingate sessions.

Unified Communications is the integration of real-time communication services such as instant messaging (chat), presence information like “free for chat”, “busy”, “away”, “do not disturb”, “out to lunch;” telephony (including voice over internet and virtual phone line), video conferencing, call control and speech recognition with non-real-time communication services such as unified messaging (integrated voicemail, e-mail, SMS and fax). UC is not a single product, but a set of products that provides a consistent unified user interface and user experience across multiple devices and media types.

It’s being driven forward because of the urgent demand by people and organizations for SIP trunking, which lowers operating costs and delivers rapid return on investment.

To address the need for information on the what, why and how of Unified Communications and SIP trunking, Ingate® Systems is partnering with TMC to present the new SIP Trunk-Unified Communications Summit at ITEXPO West Oct. 4-6, 2010 in Los Angeles, California.

The Summit is a three-day seminar series providing in-depth educational information on SIP trunking and Unified Communications (UC).
Transcript of Ingate Steven Johnson and DIDX Suzanne Bowen podcast follows:

Suzanne Bowen: Welcome to the DIDX and Techistan podcast media channel where we bring you the expertise of IP communications leaders from around the world. I’m your host Suzanne Bowen. Today we have with us … Steven Johnson. He’s the president of Ingate Systems, Inc.

You might remember a previous podcast with in 2009. Steve has most recently served as CEO of Abrena, Inc., a business development consulting firm, focused on assisting European and North American firms to expand in the USA. Prior to that, Steve was President and CEO of Transcept, Inc., a telecom infrastructure company that develops products to economically enhance wireless network coverage and capacity.

He was a Division General Manager for Lockheed Martin held a number of senior management positions at Lockheed Martin at the same company. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and also a Masters in Business Administration degree from Boston University.

Now, I know him best as one of the few other people who are up and awake like very early in hotel lobbies working before conference sessions. So, I just want to welcome you, Steven.

Steven Johnson: Thanks, Suzanne, yes, that was an interesting meeting that morning very early in Miami, I think. It was a pleasure meeting you then and a pleasure talking with you now.

Suzanne Bowen: Speaking of Miami, that was a previous ITEXPO in the spring.

Steven Johnson: Yes, usually in January or February.

Suzanne Bowen: TMC puts on these conferences that bring together all kinds of people and organizations that our listeners want to do business with and buy products from. I know that Ingate Systems … you, Steven, have a lot to do with the SIP Trunk-Unified Communications Summit at ITEXPO West 2010.

Anyone listening who is not familiar with the acronym SIP. That’s session initiation protocol. It’s hot in business. Steven, would you give us a few more details, and then we’ll ask you more questions.

Steven Johnson: Ingate has been doing this for the last 4-5 years. We started in Spring of 2006 with our first seminar on SIP trunking. The purpose is while SIP is hot, and those of us in the IP communications community are very familiar with it, the general business community is still looking for answers on what is SIP, how does SIP help me.

What’s the ROI if I should move my infrastructure for communications to SIP? What are the pitfalls? What should I be concerned about in when I make that move? So we developed this seminar series which we have now renamed the SIP Trunk-Unified Communications Summit as a way to provide an educational content for people who are looking for answers.

Since the beginning, it has been extremely well-attended. We have seen end-users, VARs, and service providers from around the USA and in fact, from around the world … participate and come back to us for additional information from us and from our partners as well.

This is an educationally-focused events where we bring our partners and industry experts in front of the audience to provide them with the answers they are looking for.

Suzanne Bowen: Not only the advantages, features, benefits but also some of the potential obstacles or pitfalls. I always enjoy truth as in sharing the good, the bad and the ugly and how to overcome the bad and the ugly.

You mentioned your partners. Tell us about them and will they all be at the Summit?

Steven Johnson: We have an extensive list. We have Shoretel, Mitel, Iwatsu and several other PBX vendors who will be on the panels to provide information about the PBX side or the “customer-premise side” of building out for SIP implementation.

(“Customer-premise side” is terminal and associated equipment located at a subscriber’s premises and connected with a carrier’s telecommunication channel(s) at the demarcation point (“demarc”). The demarc is a point established in a building or complex to separate customer equipment from telephone company equipment.)

We have Broadvox and possibly some other service providers who will talk about what they bring and what the models are for creating a contract for SIP trunking.

We’ll also have panelists who are experts in the field such as the SIP Forum of which I am a member of the Board of Directors. The chairman and the directing manager will participate in the seminars. We will have the Unified Communications Interoperability Forum and the Voice over IP Security Alliance of VoIPSA.

We’ll have a mix of experts both from vendors and experts in the field. Confirmed speakers also include Dialogic, Intertex Data AB, Qwest, Telia, The SIP School, Unwired Revolution, David Yedwab of Market Strategy and Analytics Partners, and Joel Maloff of Maloff NetResults.

Suzanne Bowen: All who are listening, see that participants will walk away from this conference with plenty of practical wisdom and information, as well as tools to improve their communications back home in business and social lives.

There’s the guy who is the moderator, Joel Mailoff … the description mentions he will be asking pointed questions of the panelists. He will also take questions from the audience to lob at the panelists.

Steven Johnson: From experience, while Joel may lob a few underhanded soft pitches towards the panel, I have known Joel to also throw some very fast balls in the strike zone. The questions will provoke the panelists to provide very insightful information. It will provide the audience with exciting dialogue and debate.

Joel’s an excellent moderator. I have witnessed him moderating and sitting on panels. He is astute and good at what he does. He keeps the audience involved and the panelists on their toes.

Suzanne Bowen: Yes, I’ve met Joel. I agree with you. You added a new component, making it Unified Communications and SIP Trunk Summit. Day 2 is the Unified Communications Day. That’s been a popular topic for a few years now. Tell us about it.

Steven Johnson: It’s part of the lexicon but also more and more a reality. We’re seeing more and more applications that extend beyond SIP trunking. I don’t think that anyone has really settled on what the complete unified communications may encompass. But it at least involves voice, video which people are doing more and more today such Apple’s FaceTime.

It includes instant messaging and presence, which are things we have become so accustomed to using. Once you have the video and voice conferencing with instant messaging, you have collaboration opportunities from your desktop going on. Next you may share an XCEL spreadsheet, PowerPoint or Word. This all uses SIP as the underlying methodology by which that session is connected.

It has a very large set of elements that could be considered unified communications. Not to say as well, that unifying the whole infrastructure, so that all of your data transfer, internet access, and communications is done over the same broadband pipe, so it’s a very encompassing thing. It’s here now. We have assembled this panel of experts to help us to help the audience to find out what it is and how it can benefit them. Also where things are going!

Is it going to be a hosted service by a carrier or hosted within the organization? All of these are open for debate. This should be a lively discussion in which we will have the unified communications interopability forum represented… SIP Forum, the VoIPSA people, as well as an analyst David Yedwab of Market Strategy and Analytics Partners. They will be able to share interesting comments about the direction of Unified Communications, where it stands today and what the benefits are for the audience.

Suzanne Bowen: You definitely have a star-studded panel.

Steven Johnson: We are very fortunate.

Suzanne Bowen: I’m very happy to share with the listeners that you can read on the ITEXPO Unified Communications and SIP Trunk Summit webpage description, the sessions are extremely interactive. Many attend conferences and events and feel that there is a tendency to experience the “Charlie Brown teacher’s wonh wonh wonh,” but in this case, you’ll take a way real ideas that you can put to work right away.

I was wondering about certification. Someone asked me to ask you about that.

Steven Johnson: Each individual who participates in all the sessions on SIP Trunking, we’ll offer them a certificate of completion that says they are certified by Ingate as now … having the knowledge to go back to their company and start implementing SIP Trunking in their company.

We will do the same thing for Unified Communications. People are anxious to get those certificates at the end of the day. It’s a nice thing to go back to your boss, and say, “You spent your money wisely by sending me to ITEXPO West Oct. 4-6, 2010 and especially to this Summit.”

Plus, the certificate is suitable for framing.

Suzanne Bowen: Listeners can sign up to attend ITEXPO West scheduled Oct. 4-6, 2010 in Los Angeles at the convention center. Go to www.itexpo.com. Steve, how do they register for the Unified Communications and SIP Trunk Summit?

Steven Johnson: There is no pre-registration. Just come to the Los Angeles Convention Center for the ITEXPO. There is no charge to attend the Ingate Summit. The room assignment is 403A. Room enough for several hundred people. We would like to see everyone. Suzanne, by all means, if you are there, please come by as well.

Suzanne Bowen: Thanks. Steven, would you give us contact information for your company?

Steven Johnson: Ingate is in the business of providing Session Border Controllers for enterprises to place at the edge of their networks to enable SIP and SIP Trunking and Unified Communications.

Go to our website at www.ingate.com. To reach me directly, I would be happy to speak with anyone who is listening. Phone me at 1-603-883-6569. Or email me at steve@ingate.com. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you in October at ITEXPO.

Any lack of voice quality throughout the podcast can be blamed on the fact that the Techistan interviewer Suzanne Bowen was mobile and on WiFi at a local cafe. The message is clear. Take advantage of the free SIP Trunk Unified Communications Summit at ITEXPO West Oct. 4-6, 2010.

Steven Johnson, a President of Ingate Systems, served prior to this as CEO of Abrena, Inc., a business development consulting firm focused on assisting European and N. A. firms expand in the USA. Ingate's heart and soul is housed in its Technology Center, located in Linköping, Sweden. We interviewed Steven on Ingate history, the SIP Trunk Summit at ITEXPO and their partner program.

The interviewer, Suzanne Bowen, noticed Steven Johnson first when she discovered that he was up early as she was every morning ready to work in the lobby. For Steven, it’s because his boss is in Sweden. For Suzanne, it’s because she runs early and then has the peace of thinking, researching and writing before the swarm of phone calls and instant messages begin. Neither one complains about work. SIP is the place to be in 2010.

Ingate was formed in 2001. They were formed specifically to bring SIP to the enterprise, to solve some particular issues related to SIP that occur at the edge of any company network that is trying to bring SIP into that network.

This year 2010 is the seventh time that Ingate has produced the SIP Trunking Workshop series at ITEXPO. It is scheduled Jan. 20-22, 2010. It will include case studies and demos with participants from Avaya, Digium, Ingate itself, Shoretel, VOIPSA, Bandwidth, Cbeyond, Mitel, The SIP School, and more.

Steven explains how Ingate’s partner programs work also. Ingate offers choices such as strategic partners, resellers, distributors, confirmed SIP trunking interoperability partners.

The complete transcript is at Techistan, a service created to specifically compliment the 12,500 service providers who are a part of the DIDXchange marketplace. Techistan shares with them first and absolutely with the world… innovations, demos, interviews, press releases, and more on important topics such as IP communications, technology trends, technology’s relationship with the environment, philanthropy, and more.
