The iPhone 4S official arrival in China is slated for January 13, dispelling all prior rumors of other release dates, Apple’s latest smartphone will also flood the markets of 20 other countries, including Senegal, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Bolivia.

And although the myriad delays were undeniably frustrating, this is the fastest an iPhone’s ever exploded onto the world market:

Two months ago, Brian White of Ticonderoga Securities said he expected the iPhone 4S to reach China before the end of the calendar year.

Today, White noted the Chinese iPhone 4S launch, but maintained that his projection of a faster iPhone 4S rollout had come true. Read also from Techbeginners :

A Short Review of Samsung Galaxy S4 Phone

As we expected, this represents the fastest iPhone launch in Apple’s history with availability in over 90 countries,” White told clients in a short research note today.

The new gadget will run you something in the neighborhood of 5000RMB ($793) – similar to the 2010 iPhone 4 (and much lower than those 11,000RMB options back in October.) They’ll of course be equipped with Siri, the voice-input AI – but still no Mandarin comprehension (or anything besides French, English and German.)

Take a peek at the nutso lines for the iPhone 4S in Hong Kong here, or read plenty more about Apple in China here.

You can find the new smartphone at all Apple stores, as well as select China Unicom, China Mobile and possibly even China Telecom outlets in the near future. But beware potential knockoffs from other stores, which may have recently resuscitated the formerly flat-lining shanzaiphone industry.

Which is slated to arrive in other markets later this year to take advantage of the coming holiday shopping seasons.

Dell is marketing the XPS 14z as the world’s thinnest, fully featured laptop with a slot for a DVD drive.

In terms of thinness, it measures 23 millimeters (0.9 inches) and is built with an aluminum case, making it resemble Apple’s MacBook Pro line of laptops.

The laptop has a 14-inch HD display screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

Users can choose to buy Dell’s XPS 14z with either Intel’s second generation Core i5 or Core i7 processors.

Dell claims the laptop has a 7-hour battery life.

In China, the starting price of the laptop is 7,699 yuan (US$1,205).

Dell launched the device first in China, right before the country’s National Day holiday. In a statement on the product launch.

Dell noted that China has become the world’s largest PC market. In the second quarter.

The country surpassed the U.S. in PC sales and shipments, according to research firm IDC.

Dell is the world’s second largest PC vendor.

But the company is at risk of losing that position to rival Lenovo, which is the fastest growing among the world’s top five PC vendors.

Lenovo’s chairman said earlier this month, he expects his company toovertake Dell in market share by the end of this year.

SEATTLE, WA – July 30, 2011 – 360networks, a facilities-based wholesale provider of Private Line Transport, Ethernet, IP, and VoIP services, today announced NTS Communications has selected the 360networks Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) Service in support of end user needs between Lubbock and Amarillo, Texas. In addition, 360networks also deployed optical wavelengths for NTS from Lubbock to Wichita Falls, Texas.

NTS Communications, a subsidiary of Xfone, Inc., provides integrated voice, data and video solutions to business and residential customers in West Texas as well as seven additional states. The company operates the region’s largest non-ILEC telecommunications network, with a Fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) platform that supports its voice, video and data triple play offering.

“We needed capacity to key markets, protected circuits, and competitive prices; 360networks’s unique coverage footprint in West Texas gave us the markets we needed,” said Priscilla Rivas, Vice President, Network Administration for NTS Communications. “Its EVPL service provided the pay-as-you-grow solution we were looking for, with the wavelengths enhancing protection in critical markets.”

“We are proud to expand our long-standing relationship with NTS,” said Steve Cardwell, vice president of sales for 360networks. “For customers like NTS needing to go beyond the major metropolitan areas, we provide a one-stop shop with the full line of high quality services to the markets they need, competitively priced, and backed by the high levels of customer service we’ve built our reputation on.”

The 360networks EVPL service is fully mesh-protected for ubiquitous connectivity between major carrier hotels, data centers, Internet exchanges, and neutral peering points across the company’s entire 18,500 route mile footprint. 360networks’s EVPL eliminates the mileage associated with traditional private line services. Customers instead, pay a monthly recurring charge per port in point-to-point or point-to-multipoint configurations.

Because 360networks owns and operates the network, its EVPL customers benefit from a level of reliability and control not available from shared network configurations. Combined with the company’s deep coverage to major metros, as well as dozens of smaller markets, NTS decreases network complexity, improves and optimizes capacity and reduces costs.

About 360networks
