Interestingly, it was used while shooting a National Geographic documentary on great white sharks, so it is clearly tough enough to suit the needs of amateurs and professionals alike.

And that should come as no surprise the FourPro is built out of materials that are normally used in the construction of professional underwater camera gear.

That is why if you want to do some underwater shooting, you need a trusty protective case.

If you want to get yourself a FourPro, you can reserve one for $400 on the Kickstarter web page or grab it for $700 once it hits mass production.

Sure, sounds kind of expensive at first, but it actually isn’t considering that a waterproof HD camera capable of reaching the same depths would cost you thousands.

While the iPhone’s display remains visible at all time, you cannot control it with your fingers, which means that you have to set up the smartphone prior to diving.

The shutter key is triggered by a mechanical sealed button that presses on the smartphone’s volume key.

Wireless capabilities and changeable SLR optics.

It is a sign of how the iPhone user interface is becoming the preferred way of interacting with digital devices.

And while this is the right way of thinking about the camera of the future, it is unlikely that this kind of camera will succeed.

Instead what is going to happen is that with powerful new processors and graphics.

We are going to see the acceleration of the software enabled camera revolution.

Which will give us access to many of the SLR capabilities.

Napoleon Hill – An Author who died in 1970, Wrote a book called Think and Grow Rich in 1937. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Think_and_Grow_Rich)

I found about this yesterday by a friend Mr Qamar Hasan via Facebook. He told me to hear his video’s on youtube, and i search, and found and played. I found that there are many , but one series on this subject has 10 videos +. When I played the first part, I was amazed to hear it.

A guy comes and introduces mr Napoleon and then Mr Napoleon comes and starts to speak. And The words shock me.

He starts with these words. ” How do you do? I am very Happy to have this personal visit with you, Won’t you be seated please.”

This video was probably made in in 1940′s or 1950′s and at that time, the camera’s were huge not toys like in our mobile phones.

I salute the imagination of this man, where he was able to imagine how VIDEO will impact human life, and he has lived forever now.

When someone ask’s me what is my Religion, I tell them Youtube and Facebook. The reason is that if we can not share what we know, then to me we are not leaving behind the best thing that we can give to the world, our knowledge, and the delivery he gave at that time is so amazing to me, where the camera’s were huge, probably had to go to a studio to record, and must have heard so much criticism.

So what did we learn, I learned that though people may think you are weird, or different, or may not agree with what you are saying, BUT you must continue to give away what you can.

2. Video is the right way to teach, and the right way to leave behind what ever you want to leave behind.

How do we know? Well, at least several apps have been spotted there with iOS 5 compatibility mentioned among their features.

That includes the Mashable! app, which has it clearly written in its description and the Camera+ app, which cleverly makes a reference to “that upcoming OS That Must Not Be Named.”

Apple is already approving iOS 5 apps, does that mean that the new firmware is launching alongside the iPhone 5? Although it does not quite guarantee that, seeing the next iPhone iteration launching with iOS 5 on board now sounds a bit more plausible.

The majority of rumors indicate the the iPhone 5 will be launching as soon as next month.

The design of the GF-series has changed over the years, though not necessarily for the better. The original GF1 had traditional rangefinder styling and plenty of switches and dials. Last year’s GF2 took away many of those dials and added a touchscreen to make up the difference.

The DMC-GF3 is a very different animal. First off, it’s tiny — almost 17% smaller than its predecessor, and 16% lighter. It bears more of a resemblance to one of Panasonic’s compact cameras than it does a rangefinder camera. It has even fewer buttons and dials, a weaker flash — and the hot shoe, stereo microphone, and accessory port from the G2 are all gone, as well. As a GF1 owner, I can’t help but be a little disappointed with the direction Panasonic has taken with the GF3, but apparently smaller is what people want these days.

The biggest changes on the GF3, besides the very noticeable drop in bulk, is the improvement in both autofocus and continuous performance. You have your choice of two lenses with the DMC-GF3. The less expensive option is to get the camera with the 14 – 42 mm lens, which has optical image stabilization built in. This lens has decent build quality (though the lens mount is plastic) and low corner blurring and purple fringing, though overall sharpness could be better. I first used the F2.5, 14 mm pancake lens with the DMC-GF2, and was not impressed. While this lens is compact (and has a metal mount), it suffers from noticeable corner blurring and vignetting.

As with all D-SLRs and interchangeable lens cameras, the DMC-GF3 does not have any built-in memory, nor does it come with a memory card. Thus, you’ll need to pick up an SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory card right away, unless you happen to have one already (as I figure most folks do). If you’ll be taking mostly stills, then a 4GB SDHC card is probably fine. For movie enthusiasts, you’ll want to get something like an 8GB or 16GB card instead. It’s definitely worth spending the extra dollars on a high speed card (Class 6 or higher)especially for movie recording.

Panasonic includes version 6.2 of their PhotoFunStudio HD Edition software with the Lumix DMC-GF3. This Windows-only software handles basic tasks fairly well, though the whole “wizard” system gets old quickly. On the main screen you’ll see the usual thumbnail view, and you can view photos in certain folders, or filter by things as specific as scene mode. The software can learn to recognize faces (much like the camera itself), which offers you another way to browse through your pictures. Other options on the main screen include slideshows, creating “short movies” (basically video slideshows), printing, e-mailing, or uploading to YouTube or Facebook. You can also copy photos and movies to SD cards or DVDs.

Above you can see the still photo editing screen. Here you can adjust things like brightness, contrast, color, and sharpness. Images can be changed to sepia, black and white, or “negative color”, and redeye can be removed with the click of your mouse. There’s also an auto enhancement feature, for those who want to keep things simple.

Movie editing features include the ability to trim unwanted footage from a clip, turn a video frame into a still image, or convert a video to MPEG-2 format.

Powered by iSpeech.org" height="18" width="77" style="cursor:pointer" onclick="showPlayer(11,'http://www.techistan.com/wireless-web-camera-a-wireless-invention-that-boosts-convenience/')" />

Wifi and Internet didn’t exist one hundred years ago, or maybe it did in a time warp. On the other hand, in today’s world of 2010, everyone is so familiar with the two terms that they cannot even imagine life without them. For millions of the world’s people, from teenagers to citizens, it would be a depressing day and possibly “doomsday” without internet.

In relation to wifi and Internet, why won’t we do some chit-chat on wireless web camera?

Wireless web camera, for clearer outlook, is like any other camera, but it can connect to wireless networks wherein there is no need for any messy cables.

So what’s the big deal with a wireless camera? It enables you to store pictures without using any USB cable. Downloading images and sharing them to your friends is also possible. The camera is also a good tool to incorporate if you want to watch how your kids are doing when you are in your own office. Yet every brilliant thing comes with a disadvantage and that is, it is of much higher price than other cameras.

Some web cameras and their prices:

1. Computerless Dropcam Wireless Webcam – costs $240 and one of the latest wireless webcams invented.

2. Linksys Wireless-G Compact Internet Video Camera – this sort of web camera can send live videos through the internet. This is available in many stores where the price ranges from $140 to $200.

3. If your budget is tight then you can go for Airlink SkyIPCam 250. Its actual price is $89.95.

4. Then, we have Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 costs $69.98.

There are a couple of things needed if you are on the go for wireless web camera, mainly; the wireless web camera itself, laptop or computer set with operating systems that accepts the type of your wireless camera, wireless support security and internet service, head set with built-in microphone and audio support.

China, Eastern Europe, India and Mexico are among the top four electronics manufacturers, but China has become the world’s largest maker of consumer electronics, producing more MP3 Players, Digital Cameras, Video Players, Electronic Gadgets, and other high tech products than any other country.

How can a company buy direct from the source in China and make its own profits from this economic miracle?

1. Hottest Unseen Consumer Electronics And Gadgets: If a company works direct with suppliers in China, it will be ahead of the competition. It will be able to buy many cutting-edge consumer and wholesale electronics, long before they arrive in the retail stores or among one’s business competition back home. Get the chance to check out the newest products before they are even released.

2. Don’t worry. Many Chinese people speak English. Trading companies and wholesalers in China are already experienced in dealing day to day with their foreign customers in English. And if a person or company is lucky, it will be able to find partner companies in China which are wholly run by Europeans or Americans. Many of them will provide just the same quality of service and support as what one would expect from anyone back home.

3. Isn’t China “On The Other Side Of The World?” One can already see “Made In China” labels everywhere you go. Thanks to international logistics companies like UPS, Fedex, and DHL practically any country in the world can receive consumer electronics straight from China. Wherever one’s customers are in the world, the next buying opportunity will probably be in China (with Mexico, India, and East Europe close behind) especially with the increasing number of Chinese wholesale drop-shippers opening their services internationally.

4. Wholesalers, MOQ, Yadda Yadda … In most manufacturing sectors in China, suppliers require a minimum order quantity (MOQ) for their products before the production process even starts. However, recently it’s become much easier to order smaller quantities of electronics: wholesalers such as Chinavasion.com and 15DollarStore.com are the leaders in this field. Want one sample, you got it, says Chinavasion in particular. Need 20 pieces for the online business? No problem! Online wholesalers are opening the electronics market for small to medium business like never before.

5. Can they Drop-Ship in China? The traditional trade triangle of wholesaler – retailer – customer has been revolutionized through the Internet. Now at last sellers can ship direct from China to one’s customers worldwide, without the business who bought them wholesale, touching the products. (Just in case profiting with Chinese Wholesalers wasn’t a big enough opportunity already.)

6. How do I pay them if they’re in China? With online wholesalers one can usually choose to pay in many international currencies, and even submit payment “the eBay way” – through Paypal secure online ordering. Paypal offers total protection for buyers, and dealing with their approved online electronics wholesalers will give one extra peace of mind.

7. The Bottom Line … China has been described as the world’s factory. The unbelievably cheap production costs for consumer electronics in China are well known to wholesale industry.

Online wholesalers simply enable businesses to put those products straight in the cart, without all the hassle – and middlemen – normally associated with the import trade. With no sales taxes added or hidden charges, the price one pays … well, it will speak for itself.

A strong relationship with an electronics wholesaler in China will let your company reap rewards for years to come. Consider meeting them in person at conferences.

One can find more China Articles at Articoolz.com

Techistan magazine recommends to “snopes” anything that sounds too good to be true while browsing wholesale and any other purchase opportunities on the Internet.

Now is the age of technology; there are numerous more high tech methods to save your family memories. A digital camera camcorder may be just the thing to start making your memories last.

Selecting a Digital Camera Camcorder

When you know that you wish to buy a digital camera camcorder, it is advisable to research the functions and features of the several versions out there. There is a wide price range on camcorders today; therefore you can find choices for any budget. You will want to first look at all the versions in your cost range. A camcorder is an essential purchase, and should be treated as such.

Learning to Utilize Yours

Once you have found a digital camera camcorder that you want, get it. Take a couple of days to try it out. If you are buying it to film a special occasion, make sure that you know how to use all of the various functions that you will want before getting to the event.
That’s it.

Chatroulette uses Adobe Flash to turn on the camera and microphone on a visitor’s computer and register their IP address with the site. It then connects that user with another, random IP address and opens up a connection between the two, so you can start to chat.

Causing a stir

Even though it’s getting millions of users, Chatroulette is very scalable because, like the original Napster, the data doesn’t actually go through the Chatroulette site itself.

Instead it uses Flash’s peer-to-peer streaming service to make a direct link between the two computers and only has to keep track of the IP addresses and “next” calls.

It is also causing an enormous fuss, largely because it is unmediated, requires no registration or verification and is open to every exhibitionist, deviant and random stranger online.

My son reckons he is getting a ratio of 14 naked men to one worthwhile conversation, which sounds about right for a service that is intended to do for video chat what Twitter has done for communication in 140 characters or less, and show us the real potential of the unfettered connectivity that the internet makes possible.

Of course it’s a scandal, and of course it is potentially corrupting and dangerous, though the random nature of the connection and the lack of any way to choose who you talk to mean that the chances of coming across someone in the same country never mind the same city or town are vanishingly small.

Yes, someone could use it to make contact by writing their email address or phone number on a card or calling it out as soon as a connection is made, but you’d have to be pretty stupid to think of this as a reliable way to make new friends or find victims.

Punk personified

The point about Chatroulette is that is has no point, that it strips away the wooden panelling from this finely modelled room we call the internet to reveal all the workings beneath and show that in the end it’s just a space for making connections between people.

It reminds me of the day in 1977 when I went into the sixth form common room at Southwood Comprehensive School in Corby and my mate Dougie Gordon played me his newly-arrived copy of God Save The Queen and everything I thought I knew about politics, music and revolution coalesced around the Sex Pistols into a punk sensibility that has stayed with me ever since.

Chatroulette is a pure expression of that punk spirit, delivered through the tools available to today’s teenagers rather than the electric guitar and seven-inch single of my childhood, and the anger with which it has been received by the establishment is a testament to its disruptive potential.

The kids have arrived online – Chatroulette creator Andrey Ternovskiy is the same age as the Mosaic browser – and they want to shape it in their image.

I hope they pull it off, though in another echo of punk history Ternovskiy is already being wooed by the majors to sign up and sell out, and the temptation to turn his rebellion into money must be intense. Rather like Jimmy, the punk-precursor hero of The Who’s Quadrophenia, he is under pressure to conform from his parents as his mother doesn’t like the way Chatroulette can be used.

Perhaps he will stay true to punk, like Joe Strummer of The Clash or Siouxsie Sioux. Perhaps he’ll sell out like Johnny Rotten and we’ll see Chatroulette used to advertise butter.

But whatever may happen to his site the impact will be felt as other kids realise that they can pick up a keyboard and become punk programmers, just as my generation picked up a guitar and learned three chords. Chatroulette’s launch was the day the net turned day-glo, and Poly Styrene and X Ray Spex would be so proud.

I once pitied owners of early iPhones and other older smartphones because their devices lacked at least one incredibly useful feature — a video camera.

Putting that single function on a phone has caused a major buildup of dust on the $500 camcorder I bought a few years ago. The iPhonecaptures video of adequate quality, at adequate lengths. Instantly e-mailing clips or posting them on Facebook is a bit of magic far beyond what my camcorder will ever do.

Now the magic comes to even the oldest iPhones, as well as a number of other smartphones, as long as you have a buck or two to spare. That’s the going rate for three apps — iVideoCamera (99 cents), Qik Video ($1.99) and Camera Plus Pro ($1.99) — that upgrade your device’s still camera to video.

The twist is that these applications will even improve the video performance of the newer iPhone 3GS.

The best of the bunch, currently, are iVideoCamera and Camera Plus Pro, which offer zoom, special effects and a full range of sharing options for users of every iPhone vintage.

In iVideoCamera’s high-quality shooting mode, the resolution reaches 320 by 400 pixels, and the app captures about seven frames a second, which is far less than the roughly 30-frames-a-second rate on the iPhone 3GS.

In low-quality mode, the video is half as large as in high-quality mode, but it is smoother, at 10 frames per second. You wouldn’t want to shoot your wedding with it, but for routine uses, it’s fine.

Camera Plus Pro boasts similar video quality and the company added special effects and zoom features earlier this week. Because of some ancillary features, it may well be worth the extra expense. The app’s biggest selling point is its strong suite of tools for still photography. Photo editing is faster than on many other apps, because users can make several adjustments to the photo and click once to save the edits.

If you tweaked the brightness of a photo with Photoshop.com Mobile, as with other apps, you would have to save that change before adjusting the contrast or cropping. It seems a subtle difference, until you want to edit and post vacation photos while still on vacation.

Photo sharing is also easier than it is on most other apps, because the user can select multiple photos and send them to multiple sites with one click.

Camera Plus Pro works only on iPhones, but Qik Video works on about 150 phones, including most BlackBerrys, and some Android devices like T-Mobile’s MyTouch 3G.

Before it was removed from the App Store, Qik Video was the most refined of the three apps. A co-founder of Qik, Bhaskar Roy, declined to say why the app had been withdrawn, but added that it would be substantially the same when it reappeared in the coming weeks.

It is worth watching for. It had the highest frame rate and resolution of the video services, and was easy to use. You could zoom, adjust the brightness, tweak the audio and add special effects — things you cannot currently do with the embedded video software on the iPhone 3GS.

Qik Video captured 12 to 15 frames a second, about half the rate of the iPhones 3GS camera, and the resolution is similarly half as good.

Search for “Qik” in the App Store now, though, and you get a free prize. Qik Live, the company’s remaining app, lets you broadcast video to a Web site where friends, families and (if you wish) strangers can peek in. The video also remains stored there for you to view or share.

The video quality on Qik Live noticeably lags when the subjects move quickly, so it makes little sense to broadcast, say, your child’s soccer game. But for shots of everyday life or video-blogging, it works nicely. (Bloggers for The New York Times, in fact, used Qik Liveto cover Iranian protests in September.)

At least one other video camera app, Video Genius, is fighting for attention in this category, but it is less versatile than competitors.

Still, Video Genius is worth considering if you’re among the few remaining holdouts who consider paying for apps a form of high-tech sacrilege. And what a great world it is, when a free trip to the App Store can put the early adopter once again at technology’s leading edge — or close to it.

QuickCalls

The cellphone industry’s biggest trade show is under way, and that means a slate of new phone announcements. Among the more interesting newcomers are the Motorola i1 and the Dell Aero, touch-screen devices running Google’s Android software. Sprint will carry the i1, which is a push-to-talk device, starting this summer, and there is no word yet on pricing. The Aero will be offered by AT&T, with pricing and timing details yet to be announced. Sprint, meanwhile, said it would start selling Google’s Nexus One smartphone soon. … New TouchChords iPhone apps will guide guitarists through a set of songs from artists like the Rolling Stones, James Taylor and Cat Stevens. Prices vary by artist, but most are $4. … Stock watchers who own Android phones will get some help from the new CNBC app. Users can create up to five customized stock watch-lists covering 30 companies, and view a scrolling news ticker. The app is free.
