Kuala Lumpur – 20th January 2012 – Perfect Colour Sdn Bhd, a MSC-status Company, signed a landmark Joint-Venture Agreement with Harvis Technologies Pvt. Ltd – a leading Evergreen Indian Movies Rights holder from India today.

The joint-venture is a co-production to Digitally re-create an Original Black and White Tamil Feature- film into Colour, audio enhanced to multi-channel DTS and with the re-created movie converted to stereoscopic 3D.

Together, we will team to achieve a  World’s First by converting the audio-enhanced, colorised version of the movie into stereoscopic 3D.”

It is noteworthy to mention that the Technology to be used in Colorizing Black & White movies is developed by Perfect Colour Sdn Bhd. This not only is a Malaysian First but also a First outside of the U.S. employing a technically superior Colorisation Technology.

The entire audio of the ORIGINAL movie’s soundtrack will be re-scored by a  renowned  Music Director from the Tamil Film Industry in Chennai, India. Additionally, audio special effects and extra musical instruments will be utilised to spice the movie’s soundtrack in order to appeal to the present-day audience. The newly-composed Audio soundtrack will be re-recorded in India.

The iPhone 4S official arrival in China is slated for January 13, dispelling all prior rumors of other release dates, Apple’s latest smartphone will also flood the markets of 20 other countries, including Senegal, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Bolivia.

And although the myriad delays were undeniably frustrating, this is the fastest an iPhone’s ever exploded onto the world market:

Two months ago, Brian White of Ticonderoga Securities said he expected the iPhone 4S to reach China before the end of the calendar year.

Today, White noted the Chinese iPhone 4S launch, but maintained that his projection of a faster iPhone 4S rollout had come true.

As we expected, this represents the fastest iPhone launch in Apple’s history with availability in over 90 countries,” White told clients in a short research note today.

The new gadget will run you something in the neighborhood of 5000RMB ($793) – similar to the 2010 iPhone 4 (and much lower than those 11,000RMB options back in October.) They’ll of course be equipped with Siri, the voice-input AI – but still no Mandarin comprehension (or anything besides French, English and German.)

You can find the new smartphone at all Apple stores, as well as select China Unicom, China Mobile and possibly even China Telecom outlets in the near future. But beware potential knockoffs from other stores, which may have recently resuscitated the formerly flat-lining shanzaiphone industry.

Lenovo announced a range of products that they will showcase at the event. One of these products is a 55-inch IPS 3D HDTV dubbed the K91 and the highlighted feature of it is that it will run Google’s latest OS – Ice Cream Sandwich. Lenovo states that this is the first smart TV that runs Android 4.0 and will feature some of Lenovo’s cloud services that include an app store.

The highlighted specifications of the K91 include:

8GB internal memory, 1GB RAM, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor

5MP webcam, SD card support, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 10M/100M Ethernet

HDMI, USB 2.0, Voice control, facial recognition

According to an announcement from Lenovo, this television will be powered by a Qualcomm 8060 Snapdragon dual core processor and they claim that it will ‘revolutionize technology in the living room.’ This 55-inch 3D HDTV features Video On Demand (VOD), Internet applications and traditional TV programs. As for the 3D playback, it features 3D FPR technology, which delivers flicker-free video on a full HD IPS panel at 240hz with SRS TruSurround.

Additionally, there are over 100 apps preloaded in the TV itself, but if one is not satisfied, they can head over to the Android Market on the TV and download other applications as well.

Lenovo states that the K91 is available for purchase in China and will be available worldwide at a later date. There is no word as to when the global rollout will take place or even the price of the TV for that matter, but as soon as the information is available.

Inside Facebook has discovered a couple of new features for Facebook’s mobile site. One (in testing) is a recommendation tab for pages. With this feature, the user can write and read recommendations on Pages, similar to a feature launched on the desktop version not too long ago.

Facebook has over 800 million users, so they say. 300 million of them are using Facebook on mobile devices, and that number will only continue to grow, as long as Facebook remains the kind of social networks.

The other feature is the addition of filters on mobile page walls. When a user visits a page, they can switch between all posts and page posts (all meaning including those from users). This has been a feature of the regular desktop version fo the site for a long time, but it hasn’t been an option on mobile.

With the projector function turned off, buyers can also use the device to charge their iPhone (it adds 100% to the life of the phone’s battery).

Japan-based accessory maker Sanwa Supply started selling the 400-PRJ011 in its online store, a DLP micro projector that slides onto an iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S. The device comes with a 2,100mAh battery, which takes about five hours to fully charge and provides enough juice for 2.5 hours of projector usage.

Sanwa says the projector produces images with 640×360 resolution, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, and up to 65 inches in size. The device weighs 103g and also features internal speakers that can be used in addition to those in the iPhone. Sanwa is selling the 400-PRJ011 for 19,800 Yen (US$260).

The company just introduced two new ultrabooks that will live alongside the company’s existing model, the ThinkPad X1. These three models put Lenovo in a unique position in the ultrabook game. While other companies are releasing their first ultrabooks, here’s Lenovo, with a relatively large product offering including a high-end model and an attractive entry-level model.

The ThinkPad X1 Hybrid will sit atop Lenovo’s ultrabook product line. As the Hybrid moniker suggests its a variation of the ThinkPad X1. Like original, the ThinkPad X1 Hybrid is available with three Intel Core CPU options (i3, i5, & i7) along with a 13.1-inch Gorilla Glass screen. The main difference between the two models is that the new model features a supplementary Qualcomm dual-core CPU and up to 16GB of memory that runs a custom Linux-based operating system.

Lenovo states this back-up OS is perfect for browsing the Internet, watching movies and other mundane tasks. In this mode the battery is said to last ten hours where it’s only five using the traditional Windows/Intel platform.

Look for the X1 Hybrid in the second quarter with a starting price of $1,599 (that’s currently $200 more than the standard X1). The T430u will ship in the third quarter for only $849.

The ThinkPad T430u approaches ultrabooks in a slightly different manner than the X1. This is a budget ultrabook. But an good lookin’ one at that. The T430u rocks a 14-inch screen but is still less than .8-inches thick. There’s a choice of Intel Core CPUs and optional Nvidia graphics. Buyers can opt for an SSD instead of a traditional spinning disk drive. The larger ultrabook also has a large battery with a stated life of six hours.

Motorola Xoom tablet were going to get updated to Android 4.0. Now, owners of the Google Experience version of the Motorola XOOM tablet (which is basically the Wi-Fi only variant) have received some word from Motorola that their tablet will be involved in a project.

This could be a heads-up for a minor bug-fix, or perhaps it could be something more. Consider that out of all XOOM owners, only those with the Wi-Fi only model get their updates directly from Google instead of from a carrier.

This could be a way for Google to test an Ice Cream Sandwich update on the tablet, and if everything goes as planned, widen the distribution so that the other Motorola XOOM owners get the Android 4.0 update.

The letter from Motorola asks members of the Motorola Feedback Network to take part in a project for the “Google Experience” Wi-Fi only version of the Motorola XOOM (in the U.S. only).

All details of the project are toremain confidential and Motorola says that it could be some time before those who sign up are contacted by the manufacturer.

Motorola has been known to send out these notices before conducted a “soak test” which this sounds like exactly. If everything goes smoothly, and the “project” is successful, all Motorola XOOM users will get to taste Ice Cream Sandwich.

The best deal we’ve seen with the BlackBerry PlayBook thus far, but nonetheless, it makes owning the highest capacity version very easy going on the wallet. Just before the new year, RIM had a special sale going on for its line of PlayBook tablets.

This time around, the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB versions of the PlayBook, essentially all models, are now priced at $299 through RIM’s Shop BlackBerry store online. Of course, $299 for the 16GB and 32GB versions is higher than the prices we’ve seen flaunted of late, but the 64GB one is priced considerably lower than before.

The 16GB and 32GB versions, even more when they’re all priced uniformly at $299. Moreover, RIM has decided to really lengthen this promotion more than its last one, seeing that it’s going on well throughout the month and into February  with it ending on February 4th to be exact.

Shipping is included with the purchase, but as it currently stands, they’ll ship within 7 to 14 business days from the time they’re purchased. Either way, you can bet that a lot of people are going to gravitate towards the 64GB model above all.
