Ajiel is an urban concept car which is designed carefully to meet the requirements of the Shell Eco Marathon. It incorporates a 26c.c Electronic Ignition Engine which works on the gasoline

Ajiel will be utilizing a simple rear wheel transmission with two gears. Since the RPM of the engine is very high therefore there will be RPM reduction in two stages. At first the reduction will be through the transmission and secondly at differential to attain the required speed of an average 35km/hr.(Sponsor Ajiel now.)

The two gears will be 1st for pickup and low speed (less than 25km/hr) and 2nd for high speed(above 25km/hr).

Since the advantage of this engine is its high power to weight ratio which adds to the charm of the engine. Being very light weighted it is able to give much more power than desired. Therefore we have decided to operate the engine at leaner mixture to attain our only required power so that the fuel consumption may be as low as possible.

Abdul Rauf its seems good but i am worried about it aerodynamic design. Because Of its shape air drag should be decrease it efficiency, have you tested it air drag coefficient ?

Saad Siddiquee yes sir it is in the range of what we have expected, it is below normal cars and we have tested the air flow and vortices creation. MASHALLAH the design worked well with all !

Abdul Rauf that’s good .can you tell me what is its features .like weight, speed, fuel type, fuel/ km , etc?

Saad Siddiquee its weight is 111kg, top speed is 70km/hr but ideal for max fuel economy is between 30 to 40km/hr ( WE WILL USE THIS IN THE COMPETITION), fuel type is simple gasoline, mileage is around 120km/lit

Muhammad Saqib Well done NEDians……..it reminds me first solar car made by NEDians….Volvo looks same in its beginning. It is safer than Motorcycle and cheaper on petrol.. It could be made as city car.Production can start from prototype…:)
