Ten hours apart in time zones, Mamoon Tariq Khan (Guiness Book of World Records achiever and IP communications entrepreneur) and Suzanne Bowen used Skype voice over Internet software and PrettyMay recording software to create part one and two podcasts available on iTunes and on Techistan. The tech-savvy, world-changing celebrity looks to bridge the digital divide and make available a one-stop location for SMS, fax, voice, phone numbers (DID), information-sharing, blogging and other communications and social-related services via the Moonitin online.
The man, who the whole nation of Pakistan admires, as well as many around the world, notices the digital and economical divides and has a dream for everyone left out in Pakistan and everywhere to have a free mobile device and opportunity to share with the world online his or her trade, talents, friendship, and business. Rehan Ahmed Allahwala, a friend of Mamoon’s, shares this vision in an article on TRCB.
The number of accomplishments and achievements stack up high. Mr. Khan received a patent for “a telephone automated acti
on system” February 13, 2009 in Islamabad, Pakistan. He has traveled the world including his home country, USA, Europe, and Asia as a speaker, student, tourist, and businessman. At the age of 19, he was the youngest person to graduate with a bachelors’ degree at his alma mater, the Florida Institute in Aerospace Sciences. He shattered the world record for the fastest time (44.62 seconds) to memorize a single pack of 52 shuffled playing cards and made the Guiness World Book of Records in 1994. A challenge was the reason he chose a deck of cards. He would have more competitors who would believe that could achieve and beat even his record later.
Mamoon Tariq Khan shared how he chose the name Moonitin for his IP communications service. He stated when he was a child and looked at the vast dark sky at night to view the Moon, he was enthralled by the fact that many, many on his side of the world were looking at the same moon. That feeling and realization of collaboration continues to inspire him.
Moonitin seemed like a positive, futurific, empowering, connecting ”word.” Visions of Star Trek, The Jetsons, or even the Waltons are created with Mamoon’s description, but even so, the service works on pulse dialing antique rotary sets as well as the latest smart phones, computer soft phones and satellite handsets. It enables users to integrate their favorite social and business networks, shop at Amazon and eBay, order food, pay bills and get information they need while working anywhere, in the cotton fields, at the airport, and such.
With over 6.8 billion people in the world, 5 billion telephone handsets in use already and 1.7 billion using the Internet in the world on average, the potential effect is breath-taking.
In the interview, Mamoon Tariq Khan says, “There is a difference between changing the world and changing your own world. Not everyone can do the first, but everyone can do the second. Each living person is valuable.”
Mamoon’s parents gave him a new book each day to read in his youth. He never lost the joy of reading. Many of his fans have children who dream of being someone important and good, so Techistan interviewers asked, “Can we look forward to a children’s book and maybe call it Moon it in?”
