The first words I (Suzanne Bowen) can remember learning in a language other than English are “Bonjour, comment allez vous aujourd’hui?” Next door to our DIDXchange / Techistan booth at http://www.supercomm2009.com was BocaVox (boca = mouth … talk with your mouth). Some of them are from Brazil and speak Portuguese and English.
